Homeside Hospice is Medicare and Medicaid certified and licensed by the New Jersey Department of Health. See all of our memberships and accreditations. Our service area covers most of New Jersey, and in addition to providing care in an individual's private home, we work collaboratively with group homes, assisted living facilities and nursing homes throughout the state. What do we do?The mission of Homeside Hospice is to provide physical, emotional, social and spiritual support to terminally ill patients, as well as to their families and loved ones, while assisting patients and families to live with dignity and comfort as they cope with end of life issues. Who Is Eligible For Hospice Care?Individuals with a limited life expectancy who desire to receive palliative (comfort) and supportive care and no longer wish to pursue aggressive treatment, are eligible for hospice services. Hospice care is available to persons with heart or lung disease, kidney disease, dementia, Alzheimer’s, cancer, AIDS and many other life-limiting illness. Are Hospice Service Costs Covered By Insurance?Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance plans have a comprehensive hospice benefit that covers the full cost of standard hospice services in full, as well as covering the cost of prescribed medications related to the individual’s hospice diagnosis. Staff will work closely with your insurance provider to coordinate benefits. |
